Premier Physie & Dance aims to be a place for students to grow, learn and develop a positive self image and it is our intention to establish a club where students are encouraged and challenged to reach their goals.
Throughout the physie year, teacher’s will strive to set the right example and help your child create memories that will last a lifetime.
what is APDA physie ?
Physie is the perfect combination of dance and sport for girls of all ages.
Premier Physie & Dance proudly belongs to the Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA) which was created with the “vision to produce a sport that incorporates the fundamentals of physie and the art of dance.
Through the dedication and passion of a network of Physie and Dance professionals, a contemporary, relevant and transparent platform for our sport was born, benefiting our student’s fitness, strength and flexibility while embracing the movement of dance.”
APDA is an innovative combination of physical culture and dance. It embraces girls and ladies of all ages.
In a social and physical environment APDA dance classes aim to achieve fitness, confidence, strength, mental well being, musicality, flexibility, and a love of dance as an art form, as well as providing the opportunity to perform on stage and to strive to obtain results at a local and national level.
Physie is a combination of many genres of dance: ballet, jazz, aerobics, gymnastics and contemporary dance. Members learn 4-5 different routines throughout the year, set to modern music.
The exciting syllabus typically includes: Marching, Warm Up, Technique, Contemporary, Lyrical and a Dance and changes annually to maximise fun and variety.
The APDA syllabus promotes fitness, well-being and is a great way to exercise, gain confidence, meet new people and most importantly have fun!
Along with improving coordination skills, posture, strength, balance, memory, flexibility, musicality, performance skills and developing muscular awareness, dance classes give children the freedom to express themselves through movement.
Physie promotes team work and aims to improve self esteem while developing friendships that can last a life time.
Throughout the year, members will have the opportunity to participate in both Individual and Team competitions at both a local and National level.
